I’ve always found the auction business to be exciting, fun and profitable for all parties involved. From our small on-site estate or personal property auctions to the larger antique and collectibles auctions I’ve run across nice people gathered together bonded by common goals. At the benefit auctions, storage bin auctions and the corporate fun auctions that I’ve conducted I’ve noticed the same things hold true. Auctions are great places to meet new friends and gather great items at realistic prices. Our sellers have been elated to discover that the auction is the best method to move things quickly at reasonable prices with minimal inconvenience and worry. I grew up around the antique and auction businesses. As a very small child I attended as many auctions as I could with my grandparents. I later worked with my dad several nights a week at the local auction houses around my hometown. I learned a lot about antiques and collectibles from my family and from the many friends I made. I still continue to learn and improve my skills on a daily basis. There is nothing in this world that I’d rather being doing than working or attending a local auction. In 1974 I graduated the Knott’s School of Professional Auctioneering at the ripe old age of 21. I obtained my Ohio Auctioneer License in 1975 after completing a one year apprenticeship. In 2000 my wife Marci and I moved to sunnier South Carolina with our son Matthew. I hold valid auction licenses in both North and South Carolina as well as a South Carolina Real Estate Brokers license. I have been actively involved in the real estate business since 1977. I enjoy working at Era Reeves Realty.
I have personally also owned and operated several very successful antique shops over the years. My wife, my son and I have also bought and sold a great number of items on eBay and other on-line services.
